Perfect Banana Cream Pie?

Each time you make a banana cream pie ends with thick mucus. I tried to reduce the amount of milk Add additional flour, working with cornstarch instead of flour, and nothing. It seems impossible to cook down enough without burning. Even if it sounds perfect when cooked, after having been sitting in the refrigerator for a few hours cutting the coil collapses and goes everywhere. Any ideas?

Place graham cracker crust and top with whipped cream, sliced banana and coconut. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. The Skinny: Use skim milk, nonfat cream cheese and whipped cream.
