how difficult is it to find halal baby food on super market shelves?

Muslim babies were not getting a balanced diet during weaning stage due to the lack of halal meat and chicken baby food jars available on super market shelves. What are your views on this? Are you feeding your child egg custard, fruit desserts and veggi Jars but not meat and chicken jars due to the lack of halal food jars???

I guess it depends where you live. I’m in a heavily populated Muslim area and halal food is available in at least six different stores within a square mile. Sorry that I can’t tell you the brand, I only notice it because I like to look at the jars and try to figure make out letters/words based on what kind of food it is. You’ll probably have to look in the mom & pop shops rather than big box stores like Babies R Us.

Maybe you can order it online and have it shipped to you in bulk?

ADD: Have you considered making your own baby food? Just puree your own meat, add a little liquid and there you have it. You can freeze it in ice cube trays for quick single-servings.
